How do I program Bloomingdale Remote control for my TV or other home entertainment appliance?
- Turn on the TV or other device you wish to program your remote to operate.
- Locate the four-digit codes for your TV or other device in the Code List. We recommend saving the correct code along with these directions for future reference.
- Press the TV button once to select TV mode. It will blink once. (To program a different type of device, such as an audio receiver or DVD player, press the corresponding button).
- Press and hold the SETUP button until the selected mode key blinks twice.
- Enter the first four-digit code for your TV brand or other device. If the code is selected, the selected mode key will blink twice.
- If the selected mode key lights up for one long blink, the code is invalid. Try again, starting with step 1.
- Press the TV button. It will blink once.
- Press and hold the SETUP button until the selected mode key blinks twice.
- Aim the remote control at the TV and press the PWR button once. The TV should turn off.
- If your TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2–7, trying each code for your brand until one works.
- If you TV still does not respond, try programming your remote using the Code Search method.
How do I program Bloomingdale Remote using the Code Search method?
- Turn on the TV or other device you wish to program your remote to operate.
- On the remote control, press the TV button once. It will blink once.
- Press and hold the SETUP button until the TV key blinks twice.
- Enter 9 9 1. The TV button will blink twice.
- Aim the remote control at the TV and press the PWR button once.
- Press and release the CH+ button continuously, then stop when the TV turns off.
- Press the PWR button.
- The TV should turn on. Press the SETUP button to lock in the code.
- If the TV does not turn on during step 7, slowly press and release the CH- button to go back through the codes, then press the SETUP button when the TV turns on.
Why aren't the buttons working on Bloomingdale Remote control?
Many times, buttons will not work on your remote when it has been taken out of CABLE mode. To return the remote to CABLE mode, press the STB button.
If your remote is still not working, the most likely cause is that your batteries are old or depleted. Purchase two (2) new AA alkaline batteries.
- Pull back the remote control's battery cover to remove it.
- Remove the old batteries and insert the new ones. Observe the + and - markings in the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery cover, then test the remote control. The selected mode buttons light up when it is working normally.
